Possibly, all I can comment on is what we tested.

The remap was done by DMS next door to Meridien Service Centre and those are the figures he was given on a graph (I have always been sceptical)

...its the right color combos and everything, its THE maser of maser's IMO ...

I know the F1 is the 599 gearbox which is a transaxle but the zf I have is in the normal spot, I would imagine an adapter plate and some american transmission would bolt right up ....

The v12 swap would obviously be the largest project and I would plan on offsetting the cost by selling the current drivetrain for about 15k and I've found nice 599 motors for approx the same.

.... Id like to do a custom wrap, lower the rear 2in and front .5in put spacers or new wheels on and ...

Am I crazy?
Out of interest what would you be contemplating if the car wasn't right in every respect?

You have all but answered your own question - you are crazy :)

If you want to do this, sell your current car and buy a dirt cheap car with tons of miles. Maybe even CatD.

You won't get anywhere near what you think for your drivetrain, you won't find a replacement drivetrain for anywhere near what you think, and you will have nightmares getting it all working. And if you do, you may not end up with something that's actually better to drive without serious additional development work on brakes and suspension and maybe even steering.

I'm not convinced about colour wrapping either, having been warned off it by a couple of pro-film installers.

Did I mention you're crazy :D

I can see why another 100bhp would be appealing in a GT. If I were ever to even contemplate that I'd probably go down the supercharging route, but even that would be fraught with hassles.

Just enjoy your current car and/or take your option 1 and buy some cars you've not tried before :)

Keep in mind gents I am in the usa vs GB/UK it seems most are on this forum. Pricing here is different. My friend owned a vintage/performance truck restonshol and does swaps at least once every 2mo, if I wanted to go American in it and run a digital AIM cluster I could go LS7 w gearbox 550hp/500tq and 7k rpm all day for 15k all said and done but would totally ruin the character of the car. Basically make it a vette w an Italian shell and interior in which case I'd of just kept my z06 or zr1 and put seats in it.

I do realize as well as guarantee that a large % of all exotic car owners we not "not of the masses" in terms of mental state/capacity....

If I were to go the route of buying a beat to **** 35k accident/terrible color combo 70k mile 4.2 state side here and converting it, I'd still have a ******* maser and not the "Maserati of Maserati's and then some" that I feel I've got now.
Having a backing in pro racing and high end driver coaching I've driven a BUNCH of messes. From swapped *** cars to 200grand nightmare vintage projects and knownits easy, but avoidable to completely and utterly ruin a car like what I'm proposing.

That said. I'm sure one of us would plunk down 150grand for "the ultimate" 599 v12 manual converted Maserati GTS in a heart beat if it genuinely ran and acted as it does now as a factory equilivent car. I'd certainly bet for a 100k 6speed converted example and or twin turbo much like the premium the gallardos are getting for what is 20k in parts and 100hrs of labor.

Seems that you need a proper challenge.

Take up low level aerobatics

I'm a rc jet hobbyist. First thing I do overseas will be buying an aircraft. My good friend is a pilot and air traffic controller and agrees that it is too many issues and hassle to have fun flying in the states while remaining completely legal

Wouldn't a simpler solution be to transplant one of the other F136 engines in? The F136FB from the 458 makes 562bhp, and I assume would be an easier fit than a V12. I've no doubt all sorts of electronics etc would need fiddling, but it's the same basic engine. It wouldn't sound as good of course because it's got a flat-plane crank vs. the cross-plane in the F136Y..................

Surely someone can provide a kit for a supercharger on the standard v8. I can even get a supercharger for my 968. 10,000 usd, and wouldn't give you an extra 100bhp, maybe more with main cat delete and sports secondary, an x-pipe and we should be able to hear you in Europe.

Or what about a w12 from a VW phaeton. Should be cheap and cheerful.

I'm. It looking to bastardize the thing... it's gotta be Ferrari engine if swapped and a v12, the 612 could do but for only 15k why not go 599?

Idk we'll see where things are in a month or two, I'm selling 2/3 of my hummer h1s and my gti. Don't want to have just a H1 if the vanquish and maser are apart for conversions for 4mo ths

Hang on a sec... why would anyone have more than one Hummer? In fact, why would anyone have more than zero Hummers??

Seriously, I admire your insanity. Keep it up and don't let our 'sense' slow you down. Just keep us posted with whatever lunacy afflicts you next. It's brilliant and refreshing.
