2 hours of cranking it up then. Bet your good lady comes back with some head phones for you. It was mentioned to me when I dropped it off.

I guess I may just hear that you're having fun with that whenever I drive past Silverstone to see my folks. Enjoy it, Andy!

Strangely I've never quite got on with the Marshall tone. Well, alright, maybe the time I put my Antoria jazz guitar through a JTM45 head from the 2nd year of production and two 2x12 Marshall Celestian Greenback cabs... that was a sweeeeeet sound!

Given my current standard of playing I suggest you wear ear defenders or turn up your radio loud when I am practising ;)

Got it all set up, moved around the furniture and had a play - it certainly has some power, both dog and Sarah ran for cover when I cranked the volume up. Way too many toys for me to understand yet but give me time.

Glad you are having fun with it Andy. You really do not need much volume in the house. Little but of volume and then adjust on the master.

I used to play lead guitar, main inspiration were the improvisational greats Joe Satriani, Steve Vai etc.

Exactly how I have it set, I put it back to factory settings to have a known start point, set the volume low and then started to play - although did wind it up a bit just to see where it went which was when the master volume control took over - she insisted that it be turned down or off :)

Maybe AndyK and Zag should take their guitars to Brunty this year for the evening entertainment.

The public is not ready for my musical demonstrations, mind you after watching my 9 year old daughter playing my electric guitar I suspect she might be getting more from the amp than I am capable of

I can relate to that Andy. I have 7 guitars and i can barely play a thing. Its more a relaxation thing rather than a serious attempt by me to learn. I just wish i could find more time to learn a few more tunes and riffs.

I mix between structured learning and then just finding a tune I like and learning it. I was quote happy when I picked the guitar up after 3 months off and the chords and fingering came back really quickly in fact probably better than when I was practising more often. Only downside with the time off was my fingers hurt again, now have it in the lounge and it is easy just to pick up and have a 15 min practise

Bloody stupid prodictive speeding......The other day I sent a tx to the customer and my Boss to say we have road issue around Swindon.....

It should have said...

'Traffic issues due to them digging up the road in West Swindon causing major delays'

What it actual said was

'Traffic issues due them dogging up the road in West Swindon causing major delays'

I'm a big Satch fan too. I like some things from Vai, and not others, but I love his guitar! I have a white JEM.
