So at my recent service, had all 8 spark plugs replaced with new ones.

Was told its a labour intensive job and the plugs aren't cheap.

Charged equivalent of 290 Pound Sterling just for that job.

Does this sound right to the Brits with GTs?

My GT is seven years and apparently were running on same plugs from factory.

Changed them all in one hit.

I bet the plugs are near enough 100 quid from a dealer plus an hour and a half to change.

So about right at a dealer.

Did mine myself, not much to it, on a GS mind.

Just had mine done on the 4200 at the Main Dealer. I 'negotiated' an all-in price of £300. The plugs are £20 each!

McGraths did mine for £100 the plugs and I can't remember the exact man-hours but it was quiet modest. The service books says three hours but they managed it in much less than that.

Cheers TT. Thanks for that.

Looks like the last time that independent specialist gets a visit.

I bought a set of Iridium plugs from the Green Spark Plug Company - £8 each

I bought 8 iridium's for the 3200 that cost between 80 and 100 gbp.
They seem slightly harder to change in the 3200 than in the Ferrari based engines and I changed them myself in under 1 hour

Thats about right Jorge...Its a fairly easy DIY job, theres no need for any expensive invoices!

Shows you need to shop around. I fell for it once with not only overpaying but then having to pay someone else to fix the feckup.

Well and truly burned this time around. That particular place will never get another cent out of me.

Think it may be time to give Andrea Motori in Sydney a ring for next service.

well i think i paid around 110 for my plugs and yes its an hour and a bit so 2 hours at dealers rates would get you to 250 easy. not sure you were fleeced, but you are paying dealer rates there.
