these 3200GT have the plug and play engines - just order @ebay for the £1800 and the engine will just jump in. No freight, no additional work needed

I have exactly the same problem, there are engines is available for £1800 but an engine swap is a fairly big job, the engine needs to be checked and warrantied or it could be worse than the lump coming out, I've got Shiltech on mine now and will let you know how it goes, I had a young engine die (44000) so have gone for the re-build.

Well, depends at what engine revs, the belt snapped. Might just need a new head, or the odd valves, replacing. Might as well, take head off for inspection. Then take sump off, check the rods, and bearings.
This could be a cheap rebuild. or an engine swap. What are you looking at price wise, to take swap head, and check bottom end? £500-£600? Swap engine, £1000? Or, are we taling more?

It may be worth considering that this chap had the time and money to put zenon bulbs and have all the carbon coatings done but didn't service the engine, or it wouldn't be broke probably. So what other bits of maintenance have been ignored? i think it would be safe to assume that all service work will need done, once the engine is repaired. So clutch, gear oil, brakes? what else? looks clean enough for its age.
