I have just changed rear tyres on newly acquired vehicle - but I have confirmation that the fronts also need changing as well. Due to the severe kerbing on X 3 of the alloy wheels another member suggested that I should be worried about the tracking geometry which should be checked and adjusted before I spend £620 on new tyres! So I think this is good advice and have a laser alignment done. I'm told that Red is bad and out of tolerance and it's £25 for each adjustment - which adds up to £200 to reset it. I'm sure that when I buy the front tyres from him he will come down to £100 to do the alignments.
This is not familiar ground for me so forgive me for asking some 'stupid' questions please:
1. Should I trust a tyre depot to carry out the work?
2. Is it worth the £200 (or £100 if I can do a deal).
3. Looking at the report - how serious is the problem?
4. Are there any safety concerns?
As always I appreciate the forum help ...
I will add the analysis later as the pdf exceeds file size limits .....
