Hi guys. does anyone know of , or know where to get , a set of luggage to fit a spyder. without going direct to maserati & paying a small fortune.
We are heading off for a months drive & while I am happy to live in jeans & tee shirts out of a tesco carrier bag, Ros wants to take her entire wardrobe.
Any Ideas ??

I doubt Rob you'll have any luck, is the Spyder boot smaller than the coupes? I don't if anyone actually forks out £1500-2000 for the customised set.....maybe just best going to an upper end specialist luggage shop and see what sets they can offer?!

Or what you can do...if your confident is send your main items onto your first base in advance and then to remainder bases by courrier/parcelforce or equivalent? A thought?

Loz was working on this for coupe's worth asking if he can talk to the manufacturers about spyder's also.

I raised this with my nearest and dearest Rob.......her speedy retort was.............." Why not get a roof rack".............moments later it was.................." HHhhhmmmmmmmm....might not be acceptable on a cabriolet....:)...:)....)...." Oh...oh.........a small trailer...???....!"...again I shook my head............and explained........no Maseratisti would even consider a trailer for a micro-second!!!!

Can't say we didn't try!

I went to my local Antler shop in Swindon and tried a combination of their cases. Bought;
1 x Mid size Case
2 x Aviation size hand luggage
1x Vanity case [For Sophie not me]
1 x Soft Shoe hold-all.

They fill the boot well, and give enough storage for a ladies 2 week wardrobe as well as mine [2 x Socks, pants, T Shirt]

I find that a suitor (good for wifes dresses) and two two grips fill the boot in the main and then various small soft bags can fill the wheel well and space to the left. We managed for two weeks away last year that way

LOL

Go to a baggage dealer and get him to fit you up with a set of cases that work in the spyder boot, then contact eurospares and get the small self adhesive maserati logo`s (about £2.50 each) stick one on the front of each bag and hey presto...Maserati luggage!
could even get a guigario design sticker on them as well if you wanted

My wife and her sister always have the same ideas...but sadly one of them isn't about them both sleeping in the same bed as me.....

Ros is still laughing at that one, she thinks its a fab idea.

Gullible's post about the logos is spot on - if you have seen the real Maserati Coupe luggage in the flesh that is all they have done anyway; it is not that flash close up.

Loz, you were looking at this with a local luggage man - did your enquiries come to nothing?
