Directline were the cheapest by far, when I was looking back in April.
Others here, mentioned Admiral, at around the same time.
Unfortunately Directline doesn't offer trackday cover or an agreed valuation as part of the basic policy.
I was with Direct line last year too. I questioned how reasonable they seemed to be and I was told that since they had so few masers on their books they had no data to determine the insurance costs so they defaulted to quite low! Unfortunately the seem to have wised up or have now insured more masers which have cost them. I moved to Adrian Flux.
Eb
Adrian Flux have quoted £1200 (basically the same as Direct Line)
A Line £5000, yes £5000, clearly don't want my business
Aviva have shocked my with a £416 quote, valid for 60 days.
Be prepared for a tough negotiation now though, as has been reported car insurance premiums are really on the climb and if like me you have had a claim in the last year, it can be painful come renewal time
My renewal for the GS just arrived. I paid £420 last year, this year the cheapest price I have found so far is £580. We paid more to insure our daily driver too, seems premiums have increased substantially.
