mazzing in the rain

I don't use mine in the wet unless i am going somewhere which specifically requires me to be in my Maz like a meet. For the length of my average journey compared to how long it takes to clean it up afterwards it just doesn't make sense!

Yep. Mine was cleaned last week. First time since August. I'd *like* it to be more frequent, but compared with shedload of other things I either *need* to do, or *want* to do (e.g. drive it) it seldom gets up to the top of my priority list :D

I know the feeling. Maybe one day....hopefully soon...I will be able to spend time washing/polishing cars and it be my highest priority task for that day & not have to worry about anything else! Looking forward to that day!!

I have 3 other cars to use and abuse so the Maser was always bought to keep nice & be a treat. I'm always happy to DRIVE my cars and use them well for their intended purpose.

Well I am barmy. Back home, car cleaned, dried and quick wax and put to bed. Now after this weekends shenanigans I am going for an hour of suffer fest on the turbo trainer. I feel sick at the thought!!!

Think I am going to die!!!!!

Mine all clean again too wrapped up back in the garage.
Jet wash, snow foam (top, wheels, wheel wells and underneath), jet wash, shampoo, jet wash, dry.
Only takes an hour all in, ready for the next outing, depending on whether we have cold snaps any gritting, could be a while now.

Just been out in the Mk1 Gti and boy was that fun, first run out in 2 weeks and purred along nicely, as involving to drive as the Maser and as much fun! I also took the MX-5 out, both in the rain and had no problems despite spinning up the front and rears respectively!

Of course, it's obvious; a German n/a 4 cylinder 1600 cc is always going to be as least as much fun as an Italian twin turbo 3200cc V8. You must be easily pleased, but you should have gone for n/a 4200 V8 as we've always said.

Mine is filthy but had stuff to do when I got back today. It's a good excuse to use it next week before washing and putting away again.

Holy cow...I can now see my garden again after removing a billion leaves. One of those jobs I wish I hadn't started!

I took both my TVR's and the 3200 out in the snow too, a bit mad really, but its a car and if you want to go some where in it, then .... no actually i use my sensible car when the weathers bad, the 3200 and the TVR's are comedy items in the snow. Newton puts snow tyres on his 4200 and runs it i am sure, i think with the right tyres its ok. my 3200 never caused me a lot of grief in the wet, you just have to tone it down a bit and enjoy the slide :).

Not the Maserati, but the one previous. Maybe a tad ambitious!

Some people's slips are showing on here!
You'll be telling me next that you don't do more than 4,000 miles a year or have any passengers for fear of creases in the leather!

Do only about 1500 miles in the Maser. Not many passengers but often the kids. No worries about creases in the leather as have a spare interior I got from Zag

That TVR must have been fun in that snow! I bet with winters on it would have been ok though. Put winters and smaller wheels on my old SL60 AMG & it was as good as gold.

I have no issues with using cars for their true purpose....driving! However the 4200 I bought is a long term keeper & in such good nick it would be a crime not to keep it that way.

It's not about power as you may not know. Weighing 800kg and having a lively 1.8 Engine it pulls well and corners fast, very involving, nice gear change and just a lovely place to be!
