Perhaps it’s now it’s too cheap, raising suspicion where it’s not due.

No, not a car for me.

Was it just the mileage that would put u off? If it was 30k wouĺd you buy it? Was there any other negatives that stood out? Sorry for all the questions, just would be great to get your perspective. I still have 2-3 weeks to buy my GT, either a sport or a stradale. Unfortunately most stradales on the mkt are white which is my least fav colour.

Yes I’d buy it for £30k. So would pretty much anyone in the country. Nothing else put me off, just the price.

A bill for £4500 for consumables would put me right off the running costs not matter what price it was.

Self fulfilling prophecy, put a car on a pedestal and the only way to maintain its value is not to use it, but also maintain it.

If I was after a Strad GT I would seriously consider this, as you can own and enjoy it. Low miles car will cost more and of course loose more if used. A win win for the higher miles one.

But I have the full fat Zep brakes. 380mm, curved vanes and J hook. They're not lacking;)

I never found the brakes on the GT lacking, but it's well known that I drive like Morgan Freeman. OTOH the brakes (old fashioned steel) on the Continental feel like they could stop then planet's rotation. Obviously they probably won't work like that on a track, but then it's hardly a track weapon.....

Not lacking in the qp either. I found out when coming up a bit fast on the back of Zep yesterday. Ssssssh! He will never know.

So this is a case where I stopped someone running into the back of my own car! I note that, when I asked you yesterday how the brakes were doing you didn’t mention this!
