Someone else posted it yesterday or the day before Matt. I didn’t get past the shirt again.

When I drove a MC20 last November, I never thought the ride was compromised at all.
I actually thought how civilised it was and could be easily used daily.

That’s interesting. You could tell from the video that the ride was terrible in the one Jayemm drove. I wonder if something wasn’t right with the shocks? Do they still call them “Skyhook”?

I am lucky I get to drive a lot of new cars (Aston, Maserati, Audi etc) and I am ALWAYS glad to get back in my Vanquish, MC-Stradale, MC-Victory, Alpina. More comfortable, more usable, better visibility etc. I could go on. I sound like a dinosaur but tell me I am wrong?
I get out of anything from the last ten years into my old Merc and wonder why they can’t get modern suspension right.

That has been the consensus in most road tests….so perhaps JayEmm has this one wrong?

Wondering if it's necessary to handle all this power. Super cars these days have ridiculous amounts.

I remember when japanese makers had a cap at c. 280bhp for the likes of rally legends like the Sti impresa and the evos.

These days is multiples of that original Japanese cap.

Mid/late 80's the Japanese motorbike industry created a voluntary cap of 120BHP on bikes, we bought a ZX10 when they first came out and the mechanic at the first service told me that the green spots on the sides of the carbs indicated the restriction. Involved taking the tank off, removing all four carb tops and breaking/filing a tab off the sliders so they could full open! An hour after picking it up I was 'enjoying' the full experience :D Don't know the actual increase but it pointed the nose into the air an awful lot more!!!!

It’ll make it worse on the road. They struggle to keep the tyre in contact with the ground when they’re too hard.

Oh it was the V-MAX that blew through the limit a couple of years later with I think 145BHP stock, now they are handling so much more. To be fair, they had only just started making radial/tubeless tyres for bikes back then, now you wouldn't recognise the tyre tech.

I was watching something on TV a couple of weeks ago on the very subject of the self imposed BHP cap that the Japenese bike companies all signed up for.

It went onto say they all then just ignored the BHP cap either totally or by a mechanical method that could be removed with little effort.

the guy still sounds like he’s on a constant job interview to be a mid 90’s top gear presenter. I typically turn off after a few mins unfortunately.

It’s quite a skill to talk to camera and without any affectation (I’m sure I can’t do it either) Chris Harris is a good example tho

Sounds like the car may have had an issue. I’ll speak to Jayemm and see if I can get some more info

Same as me. Used to like his stuff but he is a bit samey now and just grinding for clicks. Gets a bit bori g after a while and it must always be a challenge to stay fresh and keep reinventing yourself.

How many times I have seen James now love a car he always slated. Like many journos the same.

I thought it was Throttle House that thought the MC20 was perfectly judged for the car it was for the ride. So comfort for.the road and sport only for the track. I'm sure they said it was perfect in is regard and highly commended it.
