Ferrari is hoolding its value to the tune of about 10/15k over the Mclaren...Good news if you want a used Mclaren...

I agree Benny, the early cars suffered a bit from some electronic niggles, but they have supposedly cleared those faults up. The MP4 was a different drive to the Lambo, I drove one after the MP4. The difference to me was the lambo had a bit of a rush, a bit like the 3200 in midrange, the MP4 was smooth right through the range. Now I know you like the 3200 type rush, but pure power right from zero to top end, has to be good.

I just felt the Lambo was more of an event when I drove it. I'm more in favour of how a car makes me feel rather than just how fast it is. Hand on heart, I wouldn't swap my spyder for an MP4.

I do know what you mean, the Lambo was quite exciting when it was being floored and the mid range power came in, for me the MP4 just felt better engineered and in control of what was going on, it never flinched once..!!

I think the major difference between the Ferrari/Lambo against the Mclaren is that you can use the Mclaren everyday.......The other two you would struggle with...Thats what Mclaren wanted a Supercar that was the quickest (which it is)....great handling but a everday proposition for those who wanted it to be.......Now if that makes it a bit more sterile than the others then fine but you can not get away from the fact that the Mclaren is a stunning British achievement and like most British stuff it will never have the passion of the Italains but it will be more reliable and it does what it says on the tin..............It will be better build and last longer.......This car is amazing and we should be proud of it as its from our country...and to be honest there ain't much to be proud of on this little island of ours.......Oh and for me the simple interior in the Mclaren is a far nicer place to be than the over the top glitz of the Ferrari.......Not that I would say no to either.
