if he's selling for personal circumstances maybe he just doesn't have the money to fix it then sit on it for months waiting for it to sell

I never understand why somebody has a starting price of 23k then a reserve, either start it at the lowest you'd take or 99p with a reserve and see where it lands

I think it'd be a cheap car at 23k even with an engine problem,as long as a piston isn't sticking out of the block

You would have thought that if he's had a mechanic look at it, and is happy to have people call him, then he'd have an idea on the fault and how much to fix. In which case why not just post it and say that people can call the mechanic to check. Seems that he's getting rid because there's a big bill pending.

Injector wiring is where I would start.

Agreed, if it is only on 3 cylinders I would replace (all) the coil packs.
Coincidence? but when my QP variators were done the coil packs were replaced at the same time

ABS fault and mis-fire? They are not normally related items, I wonder did water get into the footwells. Could be new ECUs time.
