Normally even if I like a car I usually find something that jarrs, or a character fault that adds to the charm. Though I have a predilection for Italian cars, even something like the awesome Porsche 928 GTS I drove a while back had some negatives, which rather added to the character of the thing. I got out of the 4200 a little worried that there wasn’t something I could find a flaw in. I know the 4200 got a negative reputation when new for not being hardcore enough but then it’s not really a hardcore car; it sits somewhere in between. I’d still rather have a GranSport - I like my cars to be a little bit harder edged and the GS is excellent for that. I’m a sucker for a body kit too, tbh.
Pity I couldn’t talk more about the car - that particular feature is geared towards buying, which I know isn’t everyone’s cup of tea - or even limoncello - but hopefully it does the car justice.
In all honesty I was expecting a little criticism about not doing the 3200, but in truth the ‘best’ cars - by the definition of mileage, history and condition - are actually more than the nicest 4200s and knocking on the door of the GS at some dealers.
Once again I’d like to thank Rockits for lending us his car, and being patient with some office... difficulties... which are hopefully now sorted.
