Kris Meeke from N I crashes 500m before flying finish on last stage.. gets lost in car park with Paul Nagle his navi shouting J***s Ch***t Kris!!

And he still wins......

What the **** was he doing turning and heading towards the cars instead of the massive wide open space the other way ?

Had he been at one of Mafs parties the night before ?

I saw this on CH5 last night. I thought he was taking the scenic route back to the track as well, perhaps he was checking out the cars?

I've never seen the like, it does show that it only takes a slight mistake at that speed for disaster to strike. He was very lucky not to roll it.

It was blind panic - if you slide off a corner in rallying the natural tendency would be to turn back and rejoin where you exited.

You can see Meeke try to do this but when he turns left he immediately comes into the parked cars. To be honest, with all that dust flying up and being at ground level (and hence unable to see the gaps in the cars) it's a miracle he had the presence of mind to weave his way back out again, let alone in time to save the rally. He rejoined in a totally different place.

He was, in his own words, a lucky, lucky boy!
