Your post reminded me of the time I drove to Germany in the early nineties in my Renault GTA Turbo. When we were leaving, my friend’s two baby sisters came out to wave goodbye and they asked why the steering wheel was on the wrong side. He told them that it was a mistake and that made it it cheaper to buy. I added that it only goes backwards and to back it up I reversed off his drive and about half a mile until we were well out of sight.Really need to stop putting the steering wheels on the wrong side of the car...otherwise, beautiful!
The issue with auction sites is that you need two buyers to want your car in order to get a decent price. With autotrader or similar, you just need one.I guess you could try one of the online auctions that seem popular these days. Collecting cars or the bonhams one maybe.
You may want a reserve on that though just in case there’s no-one looking for one at the time yours is listed. You need more than 1 too, so people are bidding against each other!
It does need someone who knows exactly what it is, as most people just see a ‘quattroporte’ and wonder why it’s more pricey than other ones…
So nice to see a QP with cream leather, I doubt that will stick around for long (price dependant).
Best of luck with the sale.
The Collecting Cars buyers/audience don't value Maseratis, they never achieve decent prices IMO. Conversely, stick any old Porsche up for auction and the fanboys are there in their droves paying crazy amounts for some very average examples.I guess you could try one of the online auctions that seem popular these days. Or a land rover, they go for insane amounts on CC.The Collecting Cars buyers/audience don't value Maseratis, they never achieve decent prices IMO. Conversely, stick any old Porsche up for auction and the fanboys are there in their droves paying crazy amounts for some very average examples.
To be fair, 99% of the car buying public don’t value/are scared of Maseratis. The Collecting Cars buyers/audience don't value Maseratis, they never achieve decent prices IMO. Excellent work. Now that's done, why sell...?Productive Sunday cleaning the rims/wheels and reconditioning the leather.
