Drove Edinburgh to Wakefield A8/M8/M74/M6/M61 4hrs 25min computer says 23.9mpg. Nearly crept up to 100mph occasionally, M6 empty Penrith-Tebay easy to let to speed creep up.....
Yes, they're not bad at constant speed, but stop start and rural driving knocks it right down, so I guess it's about what most of your driving consists of.
Tis true, but even in city driving lowest I got was 12, I bet any 1.0 ltr buzz-box would return pretty low mpg in city driving, had a 1.4 Orion as a courtesy car once when my Audi 200 Quattro was in the shop, mpg was far worse on that POS.......
I get 18mpg average, mainly rural. For comparison, my E46 M3 returned 25mpg in the same roads (we get about the same with our Cayman S). When I had a V8V I got about 19-21mpg.
