A lot of car but I can't get past that ****, the boot just looks like an after thought - could never live with it.

Now the old 6 Series now that is an understated car although I was surprised when I chase an M635 in the SZ how closely matched they were, the BM had a bit more straight line grunt but no where near the cornering power

I get that ANdy...Understand the looks aren't for everyone....I wasn't a fan when they came out but it's grown on me over time and now I really like it........It's an acquired taste but I have always like quirky cars that others may not.....SZ for instance.........The one thing I will say is the 6 looks much in the flesh than in pictures...But yes I get it if others don't like it. Plus if you like the looks they are a great car to own.....They had great reviews when they came out. When EVO did a toad test with it against the 4200 they put the 645 just ahead of it...Both cars where great but the 645 came out as the better drivers car........Don't get me wrong if I could have got a 4200 I would of but a good 2004 4200 is what 14/15k against this which was 7K......A bloody bargain as far as I'm concerned for a V8 GT.......

For peanuts.........great buy, what are servicing costs like, parts, as pricey as Masers?

Andy, I like it. Amazing value. How's rear seat space for the boys? And most importantly, what do the boys think of it?

Now that is still a great looking car....

Absolutely - I hankered after one of those for many years and nearly bought one, a family friend had a one exactly that colour on an A plate, in the mid eighties, must have only been a few years old.
The shark nose does it for me

Nice motor. I have been thinking about changing my car but every time I go for a drive it passes!

Nice work Andy, looks a strong buy. Hope you don't miss the M3 too much, Laguna Seca is a special colour. Perhaps a Laguna wrap on the 645.......

There was moe room in the back of the M3...which is odd as the 6 is a big car, but the seats are perfect for them as the Maserati booster seats fit perfectly in the seats...and they love it. They prefer the toys and comfort over the M3 and Dan like the V8 surge over the manic M3......

Interesting thought...A friend has one wrapped in that new M4 yellow colour....Mind you I really like the Stratus Grey...It looks grey but the pictures don't show a sort of bronze tint in the sun light...

On the topic of a lot of car for the money, last week I looked at a Bentley Continental GT as a possible replacement for my QPV. It's a 2005 car in silver, with 55,000 miles and full service history, from a reputable dealer I know. It's £26k. Cracking value (as long as you can look past the mpg figures!).

I like the 645 by the way. Good choice.

Did you enjoy driving it Ewan? I find them to be dull and lifeless - I wanted one right up to the point I actually drove one. It's all just too smooooooooth and remote. And the back seats are astonishingly claustrophobic. It was a disappointment to me :(

Interesting observation. I've looked at the prices of these before; they certainly are a lot of car for the money and I was curious to know what they're like.
