As it was warm and sunny last weekend I took the California for a drive in the Yorkshire Dales testing a different camera combination. The one thing I didn't do was fully tighten the mount for the windscreen camera so it sways around a little and almost looks like it's handheld. I'll definitely remember not to do that again. Anyway here is the video

That was fun to watch. I have friends who live at Timble, so I recognise some of the roads around the Dales.

Glad you liked it. We don't normally take those roads, mostly sticking to the Masham, Leyburn, Reeth, and Hawes end of the Dales. It made a change to drive on some different roads.

I finally managed to get a set of cameras that works well together again after losing one on the Furka pass. Interestingly by finding a copy of the camera I lost on eBay for a fraction of the price. I tried a proper GoPro on the rear but it picked up so much wind/tyre noise that you couldn't hear the exhaust. Next trip out will be on Sunday and I'll see if I can get back to the three camera setup.

Helen and I stayed at the Timble Inn in August. Great food but not much of a village pub anymore.

Had a great drive out from near Malton to Bridlington and Flamborough with the Ferrari Club at the weekend. This is probably going to be the last drive out in the Cali for a while with the weather closing in. Went with the three camera setup again for the first time in a couple of years. I'm quite pleased with the results

Another video from footage taken earlier in the year. I'd forgotten all about this trip out over the North Pennines AONB. The sound is ok(ish). It was from when I was getting Amazon to send me cameras, testing them, and sending them back. The audio wasn't bad on this one but the video wasn't really up to scratch.

I don’t drop the roof when it’s freezing. Last time I did that it cracked the rear window. I’ve already got a slight crack in the replacement, which I’ve taped. I don’t really want to have to replace it again at the moment.

Something from the weekend

I lost any use out of the door mounted camera when a van forced me to the edge of the road and I got it covered in mud. Shame, as I would have got some good shots with it later in the trip. Might try mounting it in front of the wheel next time to stop that happening.

On the Saturday after the drive over to Ingleton we met up with Annie and Rob and headed for a drive around the Lakes. The weather wasn't the best but still good enough for a roof down experience.
