Managed to find a part number 67400627, not in stock but available to order from Euro Spares. But what concerns me is that they must come in various colors, so one part number won’t cover all. Mine is grey/ silver but not comfortable that the above part no is what I need. Any info at all would be appreciated, thanks.

There’s only two colours I believe black or silver pre/post facelift. Black one is 67400626 according to eurospares.

Is that why you had the console out or did you do that getting it out?
That’s why I had the console out, no idea how it got broken, just fell apart on Sunday. The wife said oops! look what’s happened. But it’s not a simple job to replace. I will actually have to lift out the NIT to be able to access two small screws necessary to fit a new one. But no problem, I found an excellent post on here (April 2010) by a guy named David Howson, titled (NIT unit or what’s under the arm rest of a 4200). Well worth saving if you have a 4200. That’s why this site is so invaluable and really appreciated. Just hope that 67400627 is silver, quite expensive for a flimsy bit of plastic. I have super glued it for the time being, but can’t live with that, never.

Looks like I may have to live with the super glue longer than expected! I ordered and paid for one last night from Euro Spares, this morning they refunded my card stating not available any more, also have had the same response from Scuderia today. Not looking good.

I picked one up last year from a used parts dealer. Exotic auto, pacific motors are two good ones in the US

Have just fitted one I bought new from the US [ Im in AUS. ] recently, It wasnt cheap by the time I got it to AUS. They seem to break because there is no support under the plastic when you put pressure on the compartment lid. I made up some support brackets that I attached to the CD player outer housing. Didnt take any photos unfortunately.

Could you do a decent repair and then get it hydro dipped?
