New Ghibli pricing

Mail from Graypaul today: "deposits can now be taken to secure the brand new Maserati Ghibli, with first deliveries being taken later this year.
The brand new 3ltr V6 diesel Saloon will be available to purchase from £48,000 OTR"

Anyone seen other details? That price looks on a par with e.g. the base Jag XFR 5litre petrol V8 (and way more than the diesel Jag) - not sure if comparison is a valid one till we see more info. though.

Really??? Seems a tad ambitious given they haven't launched it yet!

They had slated it for a Shanghai launch in April, but also mentioned a delayed launch at Frankfurt in September in case there were any last minute snags (no really, last minute snags with an Italian car? Never!)

They're obviously aiming for Shanghai if they want to deliver by Autumn, but I really can't see it happening that quickly.

Can't see any selling at that price either. I'd reckon mid 50's towards 60 once a decent spec is agreed.

But hey, maybe I'm being pessimistic.
