Don't worry Dem.

If it was not for the 3200 I would
Not have found the Maserati brand.

My 3200 was lovely and contrary to all the 4200 boys was pretty faultless once the TB was changed.

If I could have afforded to own both I would have never sold the 3200 as I loved it, but only one garage space

I will still be sticking up for the 3200 boys even though a GS is now in my garage

Hehehehhe

Cheers

Hi
Impressions so far....just more planted...

Leem

You've hit the nail on the head. I've driven/owned some pretty good cars, and I have to say that the GS is etched on my memory as the most competent. The faster you drive, the better it gets. Never, ever frightened me. Truly planted, and I never got anywhere near the limit. A very special car ...

Hi Alfatwo

I did not hang about in it if that's what you mean.

Mine was a very well set up car. Had the geo done by a friend who has won his fair share of Porsche cup and then went on
to lead a Team who won their class at Le Mans, so the car drove and still does drive amazingly.

What with throttle body and pedal pot changes to mine, it is an amazing thing to drive.

But unless you start changing ride height, anti roll bars etc etc, I don't think you will ever get the same planted feel the GS has.

I loved the 3200 for that though as it soaked up the road and made every journey a joy.

I would have both if funds and garage space would have allowed :)

I still vote both the 3200 & 4200 great in their own way. I have not driven a standard 3200GT, but the AC version is absolutely brilliant and hopefully we will keep her for many years to come. The 4200 and I have only driven the facelift, is as well planted at speed as the AC, maybe a fraction better but not much and I like the CC box on the 4200. My 42 needs the ride height dropping a bit, it's about 15mm higher than the AC and you do notice that in some situations. We have had both cars over the 150 mark and they are both stable, the AC is a fantastic road race car, takes bends at serious speeds without hesitation.
I would definitely not knock either car in favour of the other, they are both very good at what they do...IMHO..!!

Lee is a very quick driver and I had fun following him around the Evo triangle a couple of years back. I got quite a lot of stone chips but I guess that's the pay off for sticking too close behind. It might be a different story now he has a GS.

Well back from my first little proper blast and all I can say is WOW :)

Wirral, queensferry, Ruthin, Nant Y Garth Pass, horse Shoe Pass ( coffee stop and took a quick picture ),
Llangollen, back past Wrexham and home :)

Very sure footed and very quick. Through Nant Y Garth it was wet and twisty and the GS was loving it.

Once I get a little more used to it, this will be a very quick toy A to B

Love it love it

Guys, from my limited experience with my old 3200GT there no quicker.....sure they feel more modern and have stiffer spring rates/roll bars and lower ratio 19" tires...

That old 4200 engine doesent have the torque to compete with a good 3200!

Glad you are enjoying it Lee, Ponderosa Cafe is a popular stop off point for me, tend to go from Whitchurch out towards Llangollen, some great roads for a blast.
