Such a shame. They are not known for catching fire maybe the starter motor did not disengage got hot and caught fire, have seen it before on other cars.

It seems odd that a car so young would overheat to a point of catching fire? That really is a terrible aftermath!

My wife spotted this on her news feed. Seems bizarre that this would happen to a newish car I would have thought.

Newsline from the Sydney edition of the news...

"For most of us, it's a car that will remain just a dream...today in Adelaide, an owner of a new Maserati watched their $300,000 vehicle go up in smoke....."

That was down to the bonding agent they used to stick the thing together with. Its not used on the GT's

Was more as a general comment rather than causal

Porsche issue was related to conrod pin if i recall correctly

new car on Maserati then

Or maybe the guy that was working nov 25-27th

FMK Korea, which sells the Maserati in the country, said only six vehicles are affected, and these were all made on Nov. 26-27
