New GT Sport

I was invited to Kesgrave Hall by Colchester Maserati to drive the new GT Sport.

The car I drove was the new signature Blue colour and in person with all the carbon bits, it looked very nice.....

The small changes to the exterior, particularly the headlights are IMHO an improvement. The new seats are fantastic and being tall (6'6") the extra lumber support is very welcome. Again they have made a number of small changes to the interior, new dials, new steering wheel and the raised bits on the cruise control are a nice touch. The Navigation still didn't do full postcodes!

The drive once again highlighted a number of improvements, the MC Gearbox was a lot smoother than my one and the uprated skyhook felt better, steering also seemed to have more feel. The extra power was only really noticeable under hard acceleration.

All round it was a lovely car with lots of small improvements, but is it worth the circa £50k cost of change over my 2010 car, the list price of the car was £110,000, I think not.......

Thanks for that. Looks gorgeous in that colour, especially with the black wheels. Very pleased to see that you don't reckon it's worth an extra 50k. Relieved, too!

Any interiror pics?

Me too with the bumper. Shame as everything else seems worthwhile but to me half the experience with a Maserati is the exterior design. Pass for me.

Good little review!

For that 50k you could keep your car and buy another QP, or an Aston or............

I looks stunning..Worth it or not if I had the ennies I would........The reviews I've read have all said the car the GT should have always been so must be improvement on there...

Nice write up. Is there, therefore, a software update for your car's gearbox?

Not sure if there is an update available, I will ask next time its in the garage....

I forgot to take any pictures of the interior, but it was very nice, the leather had Blue stitching and there was a lot of carbon!

Nice. Thats the first pic I've seen and not really liked the front end......

A kind of neighbour has one of these being delivered tomorrow....looking forward to seeing it/hearing it.

I've always felt that the GTS was always the car the GTS should have been....if you get my drift.

Sure do BB.......It has sort of made the GT 4.2 surplus to requirements for Maserati...

Shame they spent all the money changing but not improving the gorgeous front end and did nothing for the rather bland rear which lets the car down a little I reckon.

I disagree, Mondie. I think it has a great @rse. But I do agree re the front, much prefer the previous version.

I agree about the rear...Very lazy design compared to the front........Still love the car though...

Front bumper looks a bit Max Power to me. I see they still haven't made the wheels fit the arches properly either. I love the GT/GTS shape, but the arches and wheels look to me like they were designed by different people on different scales for different cars!
