Hi,
Just thought I would join the forum as I will be looking to get a Grandsport in the next few months.
Currently have a Polestar 2 as a daily and need something that makes some noise...
Hi Greg, in Cheshire? Looking for a Gransport?
If only there was a very reputable dealer near you with a GS in stock...

And welcome to the forum.

Hi,

I have already been to that garage to have a chat around them in general the owner was extremely helpful.

I am getting married in June which is costing £35k so need to get that paid for before commiting or I wont be getting married...

As it is, if a bargain crops up in the meantime I may be tempted however so keeping my eyes peeled!

Added a picture of the current milk float the company car tax is cheap at least!

A big warm welcome Greg….First of all …35k on a wedding !!! Good loed is that how much they cost these days…..

Anyway in to the GS….You have spoken to Dicky so know he is a great guy. If I was buying I don’t think I would buy from anyone else as he is very much respected on here and his stock is spot on……

If mileage doesn’t bother you and you want a good value one the blue one on Autotrader with 117k on the clock is well known on here and at 15k is a good 10k lower than others plus when it was looked at by Maserati specialist they said it was better than cars with hall the miles. It has had a couple of owners off here and has been serviced impeccably. It is in the for sale thread on here for more info. Could be worth a look.

Welcome

Why would anyone spend that amount on a wedding, who are you trying to impress - when all said an done its just a contract, a meal and a disco and people will not enjoy themselves less if it was a third of that.

Good luck with the car search - do you have any thoughts on colour and mileage?

To be honest that includes the engagement rings and honeymoon so the actual wedding is about 27k which is average or just below average. The last wedding I attended cost double that

My partner works in the industry and she doesn't like fancy clothes, bags or cars etc so it's the one thing I owe her as she does pay her way and is certainly a keeper

I have seen the blue one and I am tempted but would only want to pay 14ish just due to the miles as I know it will be bloody difficult to sell in the future as I have had a couple of high millage Z4s in the past and it was the same then .

Welcome to the forum Greg and GL with your wedding and finding your right car! Another Chester lad here, where about in Chester are you? I don't recognise the estate from your photo.

I have dropped them a message, if I got it for that sort of money its a keeper. If not I wait a few more months and get a lower mileage one for £20 - £25k range.

Massively low mileage has never really interested me in all honesty, its good maintenance that I value more as there is nothing worse for a car then it being sat in the garage unused imo.

I have had two Z4s with circa. 120k miles on them and had no issues at all. They were both just a pain to sell on afterwards as people see over 100k miles and assume a car is knackered when a 50k example could be arguably worse as at 10-15 years old the bushes will all be shot etc. anyway.

I just did the sums on mine five years ago, if I include (like you) the rings honeymoon and the wedding, I spent more than that! o_Oo_Oo_O

Still, she was a worth investment!

Get the GS before the wedding, it will look great in the pictures!

My 4200 at my wedding.

There is the Fuji white one for sale on here that may tickle your fancy - yes an import, but the present owner has done a huge amount on the car over the last 12 months.

'Tuther' side of Chester in Backford. My good friend lives in Boughton Hall Drive so I'm there quite often. Lanky blonde guy drives a Cayman you may see him knocking about.;)

Ill keep my eyes peeled, chap around the corner from me has a 911 but my actual road is full of Macans...

Any idea what price this one was up for?

I think he’s in the northwest too, so close to you. Not that distance should be a factor in choosing the right car of course.

The blue and the white cars both look like excellent examples to buy to me.
