Hello to all the Maserati (an Italian) car fans and owners

Just wanted to say hello and add my appreciation for the knowledge this forum contains, it really is one of the better informed with plenty of sensible advice. Having watched avidly for the last two years, working out the man-maths of practical Maserati ownership, I finally bit the bullet a few weeks back and happy to report that I am still very much in the honeymoon period, hoping it won't wear off!

Before someone asks, here is a picture of the GranCabrio Sport, keep up the good work.

Welcome along. Maserati custodianship is an itch that every one should try at some point in the life. I know of no other car that offers so much from focus money upwards. Just so much style, soul, passion and flair for your money.

Enjoy. Im over 18 months into ownership and the honeymoon period is still in full flow.

Hi,

Nice car, and welcome...

I'm also very new to Maserati ownership, and am definitely still in the place where I smile walking up to the car, I smile a bit more when I start her up, and I beam from ear to ear as I drive around...

Thanks for the warm welcome.

Evo Cymru - Attached another angle with Herefordshire just over the way

Cheers contigo - I better double check my credentials or laundry in the mirror before any meet.

Couple of interesting points raised, I’ve reached the stage that no matter how tempting the sport button press is (especially on this model which turns it into a completely different beast) I have to wait until I’m either out of ear shot of the neighbours or ensure it’s not anti-sociably late.

Attention is positive out and about, surprising number of people have expressed their love for the marque, more than the other Italian variants I’ve had the pleasure to drive.

Still trying to give an appropriate answer to the out and about ‘nice car’ comment which catches me unaware, anyone got a well-trodden response? The obvious answer is probably 'thanks', but always a little wary to say that without sounding pretentious, having said that it's probably better than my current mumble, making me look like the only idiot in the village. :conf1:

Anyway, back to real world issues, thanks all.

I tend to go with 'Thank you' and / or 'That's very kind / nice of you'

Doesn't feel pretentious and no one's tried to smack me (that I've noticed)

Sometimes a blip on the throttle is appropriate as well :)

My response is usually either thanks very much or if i have the time and depending on who/circumstances its :- thanks very much. Have a look inside if you want.

I refrain from the " Yes and its mine all mine mwah ha ha ha haa ! " reply but im still probably thinking it. :lol2:
