Hi Everyone!

Today paid my deposit on this:
http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classif...searchad=new,nearlynew,used&logcode=p&adPos=6

Really looking forward to picking her up next week!

I wasn't sure about the red interior from the pics (I was scheduled to view a black interior one tomorrow) but after going to see the car, I was sold on it, literally!

I will be scouring the forums shortly, but from the spec, would this one have the jukebox HDD, and if so (or even if not) does anyone have the user manual for the media system?

Cheers, and happy to be here!
Matt

Cheers guys, I own a company called M-Tech Automotive down in wilts, so one of the first things will be to pop it on our rollers and see how the engine is doing after 8 years :)

Dave - yeah it grew on me the moment I viewed it in the flesh!

The exhaust noise of course didn't even get my attention at all... ahem :D

Welcome to the GTS club!

User manual should be with it of course but if it isn't don't fret it takes a few minutes to learn your way around it. Most if not all GTS have the Jukebox HDD on there. Make sure you delete all the previous owners music so that you can start loading your own or do like I do and load it onto a USB stick and play from there.

Enjoy! And if you want an X or H pipe then look me up, I'm not far from you in Newbury .

I won't ever mod it! Well might advance the timing a bit (14 degrees) but want to keep it properly standard as it is a minter. Interesting that you own that company, do you do anything for an Audi A3 1,8TQS (8L) ?

Only run of the mill remaps for that one I'm afraid :)

The classic 14* mod - fair play if its a stunner though - I have a 71 sprite that I am always umming and aring as to seriously 'improving' but cant bring myself to do it :(

Hi, nice looking motor.

Looking at the MOT history it looks like the front brakes are due an overhaul and the rear tyres need replacing. Also, looks like it's had worn front suspensions bushes at 25k miles which is quite common... worth checking these have been done as it's a £2k+ job!

Thanks, Rear tyres are being done before I pick it up - bushes - I will raise that with the dealer - it has a 3 month warranty so I will be bringing it into our garage for one of our guys to check it over with a fine tooth comb.... anything not right and it will be going straight back for rectification...

How come the bushes are a £2k job? Is it lots of labour to get to them?
