Came to take her out this afternoon and the battery was flat. Thought it could have been my 2 year son playing in the car earlier in the day and leaving the lights on, but with no key in the ignition the headlights don't appear to stay on anyway. Anyway after giving the battery a 10 minute boost with my 20 amp charger she fired up okay, but the drivers seat was screwed again. Did the resetting procedure on the seat. However I notice I have the 5 beeps when removing the key. I have read this is because the seat requires resetting, that I have done, but also I have read about 5 beeps to do with the navtrak tracker? I have no idea if a tracker is fitted, but then read that all 4200's had them fitted, is this correct? If so, it needs taking out if a battery drain issue. If the 5 beeps is associated with the tracker, how many components make up the tracker install? Can I phone navtrak and ask if fitted? What info will they need?
On a side issue, I'm getting to grips with the cambiocorsa gearbox now, luv it to be honest, it does a great double declutch when dropping down at speed, but I understand this is lost with the upgrade?
With the car I got a Maserati VHS video, had to dig out my player from the loft but it's a 10 minute production on how to drive the cambiocorsa gearbox, with articles on skyhook and traction control, all demonstrated by Ivan Capelli. It stated that the gearbox would automatically shift up when the engine hits the rev limiter, when in manual mode, but when I tried today it did not, only the rev limiter with no change in gear, although I only tried it once and when it did hit the limiter I changed up myself, I did not want to wait to find out for too long!
Cheers
