The Alfa was a great car but now gone to a good home, i always felt it needed a good kick up the back side i.e. supercharger or turbo normally aspirated 3.2
was never enough.
So as i have a dry day car shod with Toyo 888r's i felt the need for something to cover the odd wet day's driving down in Devon.
First impressions a heavy right foot is a sure recipe to loosing ones licence very quickly 500 horses and 720nm torque for 8k is in my book a bargain.

Hope It has heavy tinted windows and you wear a full face helmet when your driving it!

Lovely car, had one in the Middle East.
It's astonishing how quick something this big can go.
Enjoy your absolute steal!
Cheers Wattie

These are really good cars ..... Great value as well these days. Changed the way people thought a 4x4 should drive. Certainly a different car to the Alfa and probably as much if not more fun even for something as big.....and it will not have bits fall off.....Great choice....

I am seriously impressed by the way it hurtles towards the horizon even when corners are involved so solid and stable dose help with new tyres!

Looks good. We half looked at those before getting the ML55 AMG. Would be interesting to hear how you get on.

I looked at the ML 55 AMG and BMW x5 4.8is but ended up with the Porsche mainly due to performance and the fact I've sort of wanted a 911 turbo but they are the sort of car you have for 6 months and then sell, thought it was the next best thing! at a fraction of the cost.
All the usual things that go wrong with the Cayenne have been addressed by previous owners so I'm hoping the only cost is fuel road tax is £305 where as the Brera was £535
and insurance is less than £200 same as 3200, parts are cheap due to VW Tourag and Audi Q7 sharing a lot of parts.
But the main reason i picked it up was power and performance what else can you buy for between £7000- £8000 there are a lot for sale with full Porsche history's and with all the dodgy bits done I personally think everyone should have one in their collection, I'm sure the novelty will where off eventually.
Sat beside the 3200 it makes the car look tiny

They have been around that price for a while and will continue to depreciate even further. Running costs on the Turbo /Turbo S can be huge so bear that in mind.

Interesting car..............what are the pitfalls ie "Dodgey bits"? God luck with it ......still a high performance thing with lots of ground clearance!

A lot of car for your money & to think that Maseratis suffer badly from depreciation, they are so much fun for 4 figures!

As for fuel i would say same as the Maserati parts are cheap, things to check rubber water pipes around engine all replaced with metal ones /prop shafts/ air suspension.
All useably done by now most have full Porsche histories and been well looked after.
Today i have had 3 people take it for a little run two own range rovers v8 diesel and a supercharged the other has the Q5 RS all 3 came back with stupid grins on there faces,
I think maybe 3 converts i know it has been slightly tweaked but they all commented on how it pulls like a train until the turbos kick in thats when the silly grin sets in.
Tomorrow as long as it is dry the AC will have its turn to be admired needs the battery charged so good excuse to wiz around Dartmoor and afterwards a good clean and polish.

Yes quick blast around the block, confirmed who the boss is, so much more engaging (wresele)!!
The Cayenne just dose everything effortlessly and controlled very typical german car.
