New tyre time

Good morning all, just had our 3200 MOT'd and I'm happy to announce that it flew through with only advisory's about the tyres which I knew were due a change. I'm thinking of going with Pirelli Pzeros as they seem ok and are not hideously expensive. I have them on the back just now and were on the car when we bought it last year so I can't tell the wear rate. Anybody have any bad experiences with them?

A number of members including me have reported very positively about the new Goodyear F1 Asymmetric tyres. I'm really impressed with them in both the wet and dry. Take a look at tyreleader.co.uk for prices, I've not found a company who sells tyres for less.

Tyre leaders prices are very good but when I tried to order you need a credit card to pay. I'll have to wire them the money next week.

I have Michelin Pilot SuperSport on mine. I quite like them but will be going for the Pilot Sport Cup next time, I only do about 2000 km a year and don't drive the car in rainy weather.

Just found out my next door neighbour is a wholesale supplier of Pirelli tyres! Said he could do me a good deal on some P-Zeros. If you let me know the size and type you require I could ask him and see if it is cheaper than tyreleader.

Hoyin, could you ask him if he could do a deal on a set of P Zero Trofeo R? This trackday tyre comes in sizes which perfectly match 3200/4200 standard sizes:

Front: 235/40/18
Rear: 265/35/18

Great looking tyre...but would not want to hit standing water in the Auto route with those on.

Yeah baby!

I have the original fit Pirelli P-Zero corsa fitted at the rear just now. Cannot fault them, even in the cold and wet (not my daily driver though)
Would like to give these a try next :D

Sorry it doesn't seem like he has that one in stock as it is not a common tyre that places wish to stock. He has the other Pzeros though.

I love the MPSS, shame they're so expensive but as they're so good i won't change from them, have had Goodyear AS2's in the past which were very good in the wet but don't offer anywhere near the feel/progressive grip of the MPSS and the Conti SC3's are a good all round tyre too, never been a fan of Pirelli

Shame the MPSS are not suitable for the 4200.

No, it does not appear Michelin Pilot Super Sport are available in stock 18" sizes.
However 245/40 and 275/35 are available, so going up one size width.
Certainly okay for my wider FD rims!!

EDIT: just priced them up £650 for a complete set from 'mytyres'. Not bad!
