Evening all.

OK, so after much tooing and froing and test driving all sorts I couldn't resist the allure of a Maserati Granturismo. So, I pick my 2013 Granturismo Sport (MC Shift) up from Maranello next week (Can't wait!!) and wondered if you guys could answer a few questions whilst I wish every hour by.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, so here goes:

I'm told the MC Shift gearchange speeds increase (above 4.5k rpm?) but how does this work?

What mileage would you expect out of the MC Shifts clutch and what is the replacement cost?

I'm pretty sure the Bose radio isn't DAB, is there a factory or after market option for this?

Is the Sat Nav as bad as some say (no full postcode?) and would you invest in a Tom Tom instead?

Any pointers of niggles to watch out for?

Cheers in advance :thanks2:

The 'MC shift' gear changes works when you are over 5000rpm and 80% throttle. It really does absolutely bang it into the next gear super quick and aggreivly.

In regard to clutch wear it totally depends on what the car is used for. I have heard of clutches needing replaced at 20k and not till 50k. My car has been used for a mix of city driving and long tours and at 16k the clutch is 39% worn. Not sure of replacement cost but I would imagine between 1-2k?

The satnav is absolutely not as bad as people say. You can't enter a full postcode but you can still enter the address so I don't see the problem. Yes it takes about 30 seconds longer but that's it. I bought a tom tom before picking my car up after reading all the horror stories about the satnav in the maser but I have never needed the tom Tom. The only thing the sat nav does not do that I miss at times is speed limit assist where it tells you what the speed limit is on the current road, as this can be useful when on unfamiliar roads, especially when touring around Europe. I really find it totally acceptable.

Don't use the sat nav. Didn't even use a Tom Tom. Got a smartphone? Use waze.

Cheers guys, many thanks.

Just one more question, I have seen 2013 models with a small carbon fibre rear lip spoiler. Any idea where I'd get one?

Did I see somebody on here buy a decent universal one that fitted? It'd have to be impeccable quality for me to consider it...

Congratulations on your purchase, you'll love it I'm sure

As for the carbon spoiler, the only non OEM I have seen for sale are the Chinese ones on ebay but have not seen them close up to vouch for their quality. I know the carbon pack was a very expensive option from new, but you would have to ask a MD to price you an individual item I think - good luck
