Nice one Dicky...MCV

Hi,

Just to let you know, after selling the car to dicky. I bought a 58 Audi R8 V8 coupe

What a fantastic car, it's dark grey with a tan interior and has done 17k miles.

I do miss the noise of the gransport though.....

I drove my friends R8....has to be Rtronic....manual wasnt great....drove both abdhe had an R tronic which was the best change ive ever seen.....very smooth

Mines the manual, what didn't you like about the manual? I love the metal gate.

I found the gear changes made the car slower and also little stiff clutch....could have been me, im not the best driver in the world pete...

From what i have read the R Tronic is no where near as good as a manual.

Very nice colour combo Pete, Daytona Grey with Tan, rare combo.

Thanks Adam yeah I was going to go with black, but daytona grey looks classier IMO

I hope dicky sells the MCV soon, I feel sad thinking it's left in a lockup somewhere not being used.... :-(

Dem I had to go with a manual, because Sam ( my wife ) hated the F1 gearbox on the MCV

Very nice Peter.

I drove one (V8 4.2 FSi) round the Dubai race circuit for most of the afternoon. Its got great breaks but I was not aloud to turn the traction off, so I could not explore it properly.

I thought the interior was very well styled as most Audis are quite boring. The power was about the same as the GS, what do you think Peter?

Dicky, I know the V10 Lambo engined one is, just at the time, I was driving a GS and found the pull very similar. Both have 4.2 V8, but I thought the R8 would feel quicker as it must be lighter....or is it not?

The R8 is about 100kg lighter with a power output of 420hp and a 0-60 time of 4.6 so its a little faster, just felt the same when driving it IMHO. Plus the GS is a 4 seater and the R8 is a 2 seater.

Still, a very nice car and would actually buy one.
