That's very nice Adam, and priced ok i think,
at 5500 bucks for a limited run of 55 pieces.
Although i do prefer the slightly more muted colours of the gulf.

yeah i know what you mean, the 55 just above the 6 lets it down. My fave tag monaco is the one with the white face and navy strap and yes a red and blue stripes in the face, very nice.

Major watch enthusiast here as well.

Wear a Panerai PAM-111 (leather strap) and a Montblanc Timewalker (metal band).

Like them for their understated elegance and simplicity.

Thought i would bring this thread back up, Tag Heuer have announced this new limited edition part of the Monaco range. It is called the Monaco PCA and is limited to 55 examples, it replicates the Porsche 917K from 1969 which raced at Le Mans. I want this watch badly.

Love that Adam but they do one in Gulf colours thats my fav...

very nice watch cavalier.

Andy, not sure about the one with the original gulf stripes, not to keen on the black face.

Tag = Expensive Fashion Watches :(

Check out ebay for some really nice old watches at good prices, I got a 1960 Favre-Leuba Calendar Pointer and it's fabulous, only £350 and I know **** well I'm probably one of the only people in the world who has that watch.

I get WatchWorld when it comes out some of the watches are just engineering concepts rather than somehting you can use every day, for a nice classy every day watch you can't beat a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust, my dads got one that I'll inherit one day :)

Personally if I had the cash I;d love a new Mercury Collection Favre Leuba or a Panerai Luminor that doesn't have ferrari badges all over it :(

my wife bought it for me about 20 years ago, I will have to dig it out and see what it is :)

Some people go on about wasting money on a decsent watch, and I did the same after my first year running my own business as a little reward. Its not that expensive, but still love it as much as the day I bought it, and its never missed a beat in 15 years, so just goes to prove, you do get what you pay for....if a little ostentatious. I think its had a couple of batteries in that time and the odd polish up:

and yes, its is original!!!!

I must admit I prefer the dress watches, never was a fan of the diver/aviator type watches.

just caught up on this thread. for those who are into watches there is an auction house in B'rum that specialises in watches, www.fellows.co.uk , they have an auction every couple of months. They send me an on-line catalogue whenever they have a sale.
Bargains to be had.
Enzo..........I bought a vintage speedmaster when we were in Honfluer......little jeweler at the back of the harbour.....they also had an old Bell & Ross.......it was painfull but I could only choose one.
if I had bought the 2 Ros would have bought the town
