No Masers in Russia?

Sorry to have been a bit quiet on the forum for the last week or so - had to go to St.Petersburg to present some of my work at a conference. There are flash cars all over the place there (mixed with a load of Russian made heaps of junk!), and it seems in the 'bling' style favoured by the young ruskies, the brighter the cars the better - saw 2 bright yellow new 911s on the same day. Bentley continental GT in black with blacked out windows and dark red split rim alloys, cars with amazing airbrushed art over the bonnets and wings, lots of Modified japanese cars and BMWs etc etc.

But...no masers. What gives?

By the way, seems there's been a lot going on since I've been gone, with a couple of new faces and new avatars on the old ones - did I miss anything major?

Only UM taking banning everyone..but all's back to normal now....But in a way I do miss UM's style of management.

I'd say that Russians are more focused on conspicuous consumption at this stage in their personal economic development. A Maserati is a little too understated for their tastes. Oh and taste is something you can learn or something you're born with. It's not something you can buy...

That's correct...Yuri Trutnew, the minister for natural resources...has an M145 (GranTurismo S I believe).
