Noise in the boot

Still having some battery drain so switching off at the cut-off switch. A noise in the boot, nearside where I reckon the top of the suspension would be. Sounds like a small electric pump running (& after I had used the cut off). Any ideas? Anybody?

Thanks Conaero, it was the first thing that crossed my mind. Would it still run after the power is cut? Not showing any CELs or other errors on the dash - need an SD2 to confirm? Thanks

Its not the CD player behind the pull panel, its in the same area.

Could also be something to do with the fuel tank venting.

Neither the CD nor the Skyhook should be running with the isolator off. Try disconnecting the negative terminal from the battery all together. If it still happens I guess it must be fuel venting

Thanks guys, CD changer was the first (obvious) thing I looked at. Will check out the suggestions & let you know if it continues or was a one-off. I had tanked up 3 hours previously & driven at motorway speeds for about 4 hours, so fuel venting could be a possibility.
