Not starting - check suspensions?

Afternoon folks - just drove out to get some lunch but she is refusing to start up now....where the gear is displayed on the screen between the dials (N, 1, R etc) it just says - and a warning says CHECK SUSPENSIONS. All electrical's are working fine and I can lock the car with the key remote etc - any ideas?

Have hooked up the CTEK to give it a charge and hope it's just battery issues.....?

UPDATED: Go to end of post - Battery reset cured the problem......:)

I think he means a battery reset. There might be a battery isolator near the battery (a knob that you turn) or you can just disconnect the battery. Leave it off for at least 20 mins. Then turn it back on again and see if the issue has cleared.

You'll need a full charge, 2 hours won't do it.The isolator in under the boot floor, if you do a reset make sure you leave one of the doors opened so the glass is dropped.
If you just do a re-charge and re-start, you may find the car starts but the warning message doesn't go out, likewise the handbrake stuck on etc. If so, leave it running for a good while, then turn it off and restart the ignition, all should be good in the world again.

Cool will leave it on overnight but how can it be the battery if everything else electrical seems to be working OK? Lights, radio etc all on - warnings are CHECK SUSPENSIONS (not suspension) and Electronic Parking Break ON but I can't turn it off ....does seem an electrical issue though.....

You need a huge amount of power to start such a big engine and if the battery is not 100% they throw up lots of tantrums.

Right cars been on charge over 8 hours now and CTEK says it's fully charged but still the same issue....will disconnect battery tomorrow morning and hope this works but if not AA will need to take her to Marenello Egham :-(

Shame as had good plans for this weekend !

If there is an issue such as this, it's always useful to first check the battery voltage with a voltmeter. Simplest way to work out what is going on.

As already stated, a fair amount of juice is needed to turn over the engine, so you may see lights and other stuff working but the engine not turning over (perhaps you may just hear some clicks instead).

Good news. I nearly always connect my CTEK up, makes me think I have a Tesla! Now that's an idea....

PS I now only pass on the CTEK if I will use the car the next day having had two none starts in nearly four years both due to not enough charge in the battery.
