O/S Indicator and Hazard Lights not working

Well this is a pain.

Took the car out having recently been returned from service and MOT.

N/S indicator working but neither the O/S nor the hazards work or show anything on the dash.

Is this most likely the relay rather than a new stalk?

I see there is a Hella equivalent, 4DB 006 716-041, but can't find closer than Latvia.

Before I order, any other ideas what might cause this?

It’s either the relay or the switch, I have seen issue with both.

Do the relay first and it’s the same as an Alfa GTV which are sort of NLA and change hands used for £50 plus

it’s up at the top of the brake pedal area and a little fiddle to get to. Turn on indicators and put your hand on it to confirm correct relay.

Or you can spend some time cross referencing and go to AUTODOC and get them new for £30

They also fit a Ferrari F355 we found out in the process:

7 pin flasher relay:

Hey, check out HERTH+BUSS ELPARTS Flasher Unit in the AUTODOC app https://m.autodoc.co.uk/herthbuss-elparts/7560531

Thanks @conaero

I had read about the Hella 4DB 006 716-041 relay but nobody seems to have that in stock currently.

I had also read it was the same as an Alfa Romeo 166 unit (not a compatible car listed for the Herth+Buss relay), and also the BMW E36 (1388533 which for a used one is under £20) which is a Siemens 72BB301 - latter seems to be used only on ebay.

Scuderia say that 170762 (new) is available to order at £59.32 plus VAT and shipping.

Scuderia also say that 171375 (new) is available to order at £59.32 plus VAT and shipping.

According to Eurospares 170762 is not for USA and CDN and 171375 is valid for USA and CDN as both are described as Direction Emergency Light Relay, but I have not checked that Scuderia has either in stock.

I went to the car this morning having isolated the battery overnight and everything was working fine.

However, the Herth+Buss unit has the right pin layout and is under £40 with shipping on Autodoc so I will get on and order that just in case it plays up again.
