Yeah, it was... Bit stressed the first 40 minutes, London then M25 traffic, hadn't got the seat or wheel height quite right bit sore in the back but as I relaxed into it, stopped to fill it up then thought I'd give the sport button a little try. Still smiling...

I recall it well, Matt, similar experience out of a busy town, then onto the M25 until back on the M4 west.

Absolutely terrified, and settled down after an hour, for the heavens to open on a bunched up motorway.

Soon settled down after that, realising for the first time the respect from fellow drivers and consideration.

You'll be fine soon; lucky boy, that first experience is like your first solo. You never ever forget it

Matt - you made the right choice. It's much much worse if you turn right on the A40 and head east, into central London. Be interested in your views on your iPhone holder strategy ;-)

my first drive out in the strad, was 250 miles of perfect, undulating, empty highway as I brought her home. took me 20 mins to find the fuel filler button, and I did NOT check the tire pressures before (all too low) and wondered what the vibration over 140mph was all about. (very open, very empty, highways -- doubt they have those in the UK anymore!)

Enjoy your new car!
