Yes. Most stores know how they get ripped off. Unfortunately you fitted the profile at Asda in Wembley.

Back when I was at Sainsbury’s, the other tell apart from sneaking out was bringing a Sainsbury’s carrier bag in with you, seems outrageous now but it wasn’t in 1995.
Or a trolley full of cornflakes - amazing what you can hide in a box trolley.

The real question here is

Why are you shopping at Asda?

I will try to ignore the abuse coming my way now. Happy New Year folks. May 2024 be better than this year.

In the U.S. some ambulance chaser would take your suit on spec and try and turn it into a class action.

Please don't do that.

I hate you experienced that...but if I had a dollar for every interaction like that I've ever had with a cop, security guard, etc. then I'd be able to buy Twitter back.
To be honest the standards of Customer Service in the States from my experience is so much better than what we have to put up with here in the UK…
Customer Service in the UK is only apparent in high end stores, anywhere else the staff are doing you a favour to serve you…

Generally, customer service is pretty good here in the U.S. I just happen to be...er, seem...a shifty character.

The reason they now have self service tills with CCTV recording the customers is the amount of stock either not being scanned or being put through manually as the wrong item

I don't really have much sympathy though, supermarkets use a lot of tricks to catch customers out

A common one is a range of foods on offer, say £4 each or four for £10

You pick up four items from the range with your shopping (which these days is likely to be £150+) only what they've done is the most popular item won't be in the offer which pushes the four back up to £16 but you don't notice unless you've only spent a few quid

I joked with one of the three till operators at my local Asda, they're as far away from the entrance as possible, I said it won't be long before they've got you in a shed outside

If Asda could employ a manager and 2 security guards they would

I must admit now into my 6th year in France and shopped in quite a few places now it's always been a pleasurable experience and I don't enjoy shopping like most of us chaps.

I don't condone shoplifting or any other crime, but it does seem to be a bit of 'pot-kettle-black' when ceo's pocket big bonuses for picking the pockets of hard pressed customers and screwing their suppliers - then lying about the tough time they're having.

So its ok to go in through the in door and out through the out door. However if you go out through the in door security will have a field day.

Just be thankful you didn't attempt to go in through the out door ! ;);)

In the spirit of the title of this sub...does anyone have an opinion on whether we breed Triumph (brown) or Ice Bucket (white) with the girls? Brown is rarer, and we have several brown girls (which doesn't guarantee brown cria)...but poor Triumph also has a ******** that hasn't descended. His virility has been untested, but Ice is a machine...
