Bladerunner what’s your chances of getting to an SD3 machine whereby chances are after a bit of driving (10-15 mins like mine?) the light comes on and they could fault read?

My nearest SD3 is an hour away in Leeds

@Lavazza I drive my GT regularly so not sure it’s that...it’s so random it’s hard to pinpoint a cause!

@Ryandoc I’m 45 mins from Autoshield in Manchester so it’s on my list to get a few niggles looked at by Mario, including this, but can’t guarantee the warning will come up on the trip there.

Strange since it’s otherwise running fine...except I do have the dashes on the screen where the date/time should be, battery resets/replacements haven’t helped clear that as yet.

I have the same issue, I can be driving all day with no problem. The lights normally come on when I stop at traffic lights, or put it in park. I also get the suspension light come up, It flashes between the park and suspension. I’ve just put the car on the CTEC battery charger and it’s registered less than 80%. Any view?

@Bladerunner if / when you get it looked at if Marios gets a solution can you update us please.
Naturally Marios would like the business as well if he fixes it which is understandable but I’m hoping it’s a simple fix that I can get done locally.

Keep us posted. Mine hasn’t moved since I posted this thread so will see if it happen next time I give her a run out

See what happens when the C-TEK has done its magic.

Lead acid batteries are all recycled and can be made into new batteries as the plates are recoverable. The same can’t be said of AGM and Li-ion.

I think my fault is not with the battery. There is no faults registered with the CTEC, and The dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree when I pulled onto the drive and selected park. Could it be to do with the parking senses as they are not working.

Highly unlikely IMHO, but it is Italian.

The park-off warning can be triggered by any number of events being broadcast onto the CAN line. The easiest thing to do is sniff the CAN and see what is being talked about when the park-off message pops up.

Voicey is it then right as per my symptom that when in neutral and EPB on when I flick into 1st it doesn’t disengage the EPB, this is whilst the park off light is lit in error.

Pretty sure a fully functional car could be put into that state:

Start with engine off, EPB engaged.
Start engine
Press Park Off (Park off on dash)
Engage First (EPB will still be on, at least on a ZF box car)

Happy to be corrected by the estimable Voicey, but park off only applies when you turn off and then if the EPB is applied or not.

My heads mince just now need to see fault again to remind myself what happened.

Pretty sure park off was lit, I manually put EPB on in neutral then when I flick into first EPB didn’t engage which I’d expect it to.

Might try and get her out Saturday

If you put EPB ON how can it engage again?

It won't disengage until you try to start moving. Going into first is not (AFAIK) sufficient. But to be clear, you have an F1 box?

F1 box. Your messing with my head, with EPB on when I flick into first EPB disengages.

I need to go check as you’re making me question myself now

No chance, it's intermittent. Can't have it plugged in all the time.

I believe the function of the park off button is to stop the automatic function of the epb. It stays where you put it, either on or off regardless of whether you are in gear and pulling away.

Ok so that does confirm my symptoms, but still the fault remains in that the park off is coming up on its own and won’t turn off when driving
