Parking sensor issue

Ok so when I put the car in reverse the parking sensor starts on the dash,then stops and states (unable to function) with a yellow P on the dash ....would it be just a sensor or something else

Probably just a sensor. Engine off, in reverse then go and listen to them.

Or your battery’s down on power. This is what mine does sometimes, charge the battery and all returns to normal..
