Petrol Prices - A Good Idea

Has anyone else seen this?

Do you think it could work???

It’s the start of the revolution !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Power to the people !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! let’s actually do something for once, do it,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I AM STARTING THIS WEEK, no more Esso or BP,,,,,,,,,,,

The price of oil is as low as it has been for a while, the oil companies have simply jacked their prices up and the labour government will not do anything as they rake in extra VAT for every increase, to help make up for the financial disaster that we are in, thanks to 10 yrs under Gordon Brown first as chancellor of the exchequer and then as unelected prime minister

See what you think and pass it on if you agree with it

We are hitting 119.9 a litre in some areas now, soon we will be faced with paying 1.50 a ltr. Philip Hollsworth offered this good idea:

This makes MUCH MORE SENSE than the 'don't buy petrol on a certain day campaign that was going around last April or May! The oil companies just laughed at that because they knew we wouldn't continue to hurt ourselves by refusing to buy petrol. It was more of an inconvenience to us than it was a problem for them. BUT, whoever thought of this idea, has come up with a plan that can really work.

Please read it and join in!

Now that the oil companies and the OPEC nations have conditioned us to think that the cost of a litre is CHEAP, we need to take aggressive action to teach them that BUYERS control the market place not sellers. With the price of petrol going up more each day, we consumers need to take action. The only way we are going to see the price of petrol come down is if we hit someone in the pocket by not purchasing their Petrol! And we can do that WITHOUT hurting ourselves. Here's the idea:

For the rest of this year DON'T purchase ANY petrol from the two biggest oil companies (which now are one), ESSO and BP.

If they are not selling any petrol, they will be inclined to reduce their prices. If they reduce their prices, the other companies will have to follow suit. But to have an impact we need to reach literally millions of Esso and BP petrol buyers. It's really simple to do!!

Now, don't wimp out at this point... keep reading and I'll explain how simple it is to reach millions of people!!

I am sending this note to a lot of people. If each of you send it to at least ten more (30 x 10 = 300)... and those 300 send it to at least ten more (300 x 10 = 3,000) ... and so on, by the time the message reaches the sixth generation of people, we will have reached over THREE MILLION consumers! If those three million get excited and

pass this on to ten friends each, then 30 million people will have been contacted! If it goes one level further, you guessed it... ...

THREE HUNDRED MILLION PEOPLE!!!

Again, all You have to do is send this to 10 people. That's all.(and not buy at ESSO/BP) How long would all that take? If each of us sends this email out to ten more people within one day of receipt,

all 300 MILLION people could conceivably be contacted within the next 8days!!! Acting together we can make a difference . If this makes sense to you, please pass this message on.

PLEASE HOLD OUT UNTIL THEY LOWER THEIR PRICES TO THE 90p a LITRE RANGE

It's easy to make this happen. Just forward this email, and buy your petrol at Shell, Asda,Tesco, Sainsburys, Morrisons Jet etc. i.e. boycott BP and Esso.

It was on here a little while ago Roger, most agreed it was a good idea with good potential , personally i feel it would need a start date and a means to monitor how affective it might be , but once it had worked imagine the people power it would command , that would really be a positive step for the wide web , once exposed that it worked it could be applied in all sorts of areas

Cant say im versed on how the oil supply/refining works now days , others hopefully can put me right , but it used to be done months in advance , with some seperate private companies ordering X amount arranging to have it shipped and refined and then selling it off to the highest bidder, apparently the Russians were big on this a few years back , so i presume there are still broker barons still operating ready to fill the gaps that any BP or Shell refinieries might shut off help anyone or would this be too big a battle to take on i dont wanna be the only guy with his finger stuck firmly in the ****

Ah Frank thats not the point, the point is to hurt the top two , for a month or two , hopefully they then realize whats happening and they will reduce there prices to get underneath the others , which in turn should start a price reducing war i think thats it people web power at its best i think ifit was done on a big enough scale it could have a huge impact

Dare I mention the C word...................

CARTEL............;)

I strongly suspect these companies will have a whole array of contigency plans to deal with we uppity bourgoise types.....;)....and merely reroute supplies to which ever station or group suits them, it is a necessity after all....

P

PS Remember.....its HMG who actually take 80% of the value at the forecourt.......so we would need a 2/3 pronged strategy...........maybe a bit of a "Trident" approach.....:)....:)....:)

1. Boycott purchasing petrol, on a series of intermittent, irregular occasions.......buy minimal amounts

2. Blockade refineries.

3. Sell all oil companies shares and let them know the consumer is king.

4 Outlaw commodity brokers profiting from "necessity" type commodities

5.Loz to stand for parliament as a candidate, with a single issue........petrol price control.

6.Demonstrations......outside parliament.....whenever the 3 stooges appear in public for their cretinous insulting walk abouts , press the flesh engagements!

Thats 2 tridents worth!!!

PS Am in charge of the barricades!
