Can anyone clear up why some Gransports have a chromed badge by the petrol flap and same place on other side, and some don't.

Thanks!

The later LE spec models came with the saetta badges on both sides near the fuel flap. The early cars don't have them but many retro fit them as they are relatively cheap to buy and look good.

Mine is badge less , it's a 2006 , not an LE though
No idea why.. I didn't see it on the options list for the car order spec that I got with the car.
I think it looks more premium with it tbh

Sorry I made a hash of that - I have them on mine is what I meant! So maybe they were fitted later..

I always thought they were a delete option. Mine never had them (I have seen some pics from before I owned it) but they are in there now.

Mine were retro fitted but remember that there is a left hand badge and a right hand badge. The Arrow points forward, if you look at my car a Brunty or Goodwood you'll notice that I have two Left hand badges...as pointed out by Emblems one service...

It's very odd as it is almost like they designed a space for the badge, made the badge and then forgot to put it on. Every dealer stocks them.

I believe the badges were standard fit on LE GranSports. Any other car will have had them fitted as an option when new, or aftermarket at some point. I think GranSports look naked without them!

The LE spec GranSports had them and the lines should be red as should the front grill badge.

Many retro fit them and they are usually the non red items.

Some of the retro fitted ones are fitted incorrectly. ie the left one where the right one should be and vice versa. Have seen this error on a few cars.

Mine has them but the tridents are placed on the wrong side as mentioned previously. They also do not have the red lines. I will be ordering a replacement set soon.

They were an option on all except the LE, where they were standard. As with all things Maserati, as an option they were quite expensive (about £275 from memory) but they only about £15 each from Eurospares. I fitted them to Jay's car, actually I think I may have done that while he was inspecting the car. Like MAF, I think the lady looks naked without her trident.

They do look nice and the 3200 really looks almost like there is something missing on the panel if they are not fitted. That said, I never did get round to fitting them to my AC in the 2 year that I had it!
