List of excuses for that position on track: It was raining and cold road tyres. I only did it the once Frank. Went out in my boys mates 88 Civic on Dunlop moulded slicks and that thing was probably in my opinion the quickest car there it stuck to the tarmac like poo to a blanket. Now do I buy another set of wheels and get some 19 inch track rubber ?

Sums up why lots of people didn't like the handling of the 360 when you get near the limit. It's an amazing car just before that point though....!

Looks stunning in silver, if red, just another 360...
A set of track day wheels and tyres is certainly a good idea, not too sure of track focused tyres though...when it goes, you are travelling at a faster speed...
My friend who I do a few track days and driver training days with had a 996 GT3. He found that when it went, it went, at high speed and no warning, no warning being no racing driver. He now has a 997 Turbo which is much softer and controllable, and is much more usable on the road, ride height, rear seats etc. in the GT3 you could not even get to clean the inside of the rear screen without removing a seat!

Cheers Ewan and Mike a stunning car even facing the wrong way. To be fair probably won't track again as I have now done that. Good long road trips on good roads is the way to get maximum enjoyment.

It's certainly a good idea to track your car if only the once, it's only on track that you can push your car near the limit, and then you realise that on the road, you have to be doing something really silly to loose it.

Good point well made Mike. I have tracked all my cars and thoroughly enjoyed doing so. For now on though I'm going to improve my old M3 because smiles for miles just perfect and loads of bits for them not costing an arm and leg. Cheap fun.

It sounded good either way too :)

Yeah, I bet it did! Non-standard exhaust, if I remember from Phil's earlier post. I'd love to hear it. Maybe a blast up the gorge sometime (so to speak) would be a good SM day out? Not sure the locals would appreciate the orchestra, though!

Dem will try and find a picture. Its a 95 M plate E36 3.0 in **** red with vador interior on the original Motorsport wheels but of a customer needing a little TLC for pennies. I have put new front wings on cut out and welded in new rear arches just needs a respray and she will look ace.

Had a 3.2 evo it was a good car with 6 speed box and had a Z3 M Roadster both were Estoril blue at the time both were expensive cars. Power differences not really that noticeable mate.
