Physical issue with keys

So this

has happened to both of my keys now. I'm concerned that I will drop one when out and about and have no way of getting back into the car so rather than fork out for a new key from Maserati is there a quick win? Would a dab of superglue hold it back in place or is that a bad idea? No matter how hard I push the pin in, it refuses to stay locked in position.

I had the same thing with one of my Alfa's.

I can't remember what I did as a fix. But it didn't involve super glue. Might be worth looking on AlfaOwner as it's a common thing with Alfas.

I had exactly the same and finally used a glue gun and whilst the glue was malleable I pushed the long bit into it and it has held ever since.

I got a cheap replacement key housing on fleabay and the expensive maserati leather fob cover, works and looks great, just follow the tutorial on maseratilife so you don't forget any essential stuff like the embedded chip, and for less than £20 you should be good for years.

Cheers..just ordered a glue gun to give that a shot and if that doesn't work it's to ebay for a cheap housing.

I used a dab of superglue and it's been fine ever since. A quick, easy and cheap fix.

And it worked...both keys repaired with the strongest superglue I could find and good as new. Cheers guys.
