I had an '88 4sp 930. It was a good one with only 50k miles on it. For me it was buying that poster car but was a massive disappointment to drive, especially after my 993. With the engine pushed further rearward than non turbo 911s and horrific turbo lag it convinced me that naturally aspirated was the way to go. That's not the prettiest back end, but it doesn't half look "the business".

Saw a Bristol Fighter today - the one with the V10 from the Viper. It’s being built at a local restoration company, having been purchased as parts when Bristol Cars closed and everything was auctioned off. So that’s another Viper in a party frock.But *what* a frock......
