My brother was the only Fulvia in the group.

There was a guy fitting a 3.0 Busso into one of these some years back, never heard how he got on.

Which reminds me I need to follow up with a friend who is grafting a biturbo engine box and rear axle into an Alfa 155 saloon

On the green theme.
Well here's something a bit different! This morning, the new TWR Supercat has been revealed ahead of physical summer launch. The stunning carbon fibre silhouette, designed by Khyzyl Saleem in collaboration with Magnus Walker, is set to produce in excess of 600bhp from its supercharged V12. Just 88 will be built, with prices starting at £225,000.FB_IMG_1714504738964.jpgFB_IMG_1714504748977.jpg

Looks lovely. I know the Carbon on the MC Victory was blue tinted but this looks black unless it is my old eyes. I always loved the MC Victory with those seats but without more power than the standard car are they really worth double of the price of a standard car ?
Having driven one they are special but I agree Andy a nice 4200 and buy something else too that's nice.

I’d be amazed if they manage to sell 88 of those XJS jobs.

And yes, an MCV is worth twice as much as a standard GS. And that’s not just me (as an ex owner of both) saying that, it’s the whole market place.

I sold my MCV when I felt values had got too high - i.e. when i felt there were other cars that were better at the price. But now they are below the £50k mark, they sit alongside the Ghibli Cup and MC Strad. A budget of circa £45k would buy a decent example of any. All very different to each other, but all fun to own.

Of the three, in the U.K. the MCV is the most rare and I’d say offers the best blend. It is more modern, reliable and better built than the Cup, and also more practical (with useable back seats). While also being smaller and more nimble than the Strad.

A very tough call between them. But I think I’d go for another MCV before another Cup or Strad.

Who knows, maybe if my 911 at Dove House Motor Company sells…

no wonder Gandini, pininfarina etc were held in such high regard. modern cars are fast/efficient enough just make them beautiful not like this monstrosity. The original was an elegant grand tourer.

To be honest Phil you could get a standard GS for about 23k and a QP as well with change. Lovely though it is.
That would be my thinking too covering all bases mate but I certainly respect Ewan's opinions with the cars that he has had over the years.

I totally agree and I myself have watched Harry's Garage drive his old XJS on Route Napoleon as many times as I've watched the original Italian Job.
What this version has is 600 BHP a supercharger and a 6 speed manual box but I prefer the original for myself.

I had an original V12 manual but always lusted after the TWR version with 6 litres and stiffened suspension which was a far prettier version than the current offering.
