Seeing as we’ve got war in Ukraine, it’s interesting that that saying came from the Battle of Balaclava, words written by a Times journalist to describe a group of Highlanders in defensive line against Russian Cavalry, wasnt a great day for cavalry, same battle incorporated the Charge of the Light Brigade.
