Well done Pal, and shiws just hiw much you can save if you take a punt on a car that requires some love. I am sure the seller still made some on the car or if I private pirchase got more than the PX offer.

The cars had to get down to sensible pricing eventually. Nice to see them being used too!

2nd clutch I presume?

Beau, congrats. Looks beautiful. I might end up selling my 4.2 next yr and jump on an MC.

Yes it's from Lancaster

I'm not sure how many clutches it's had, no receipts for a clutch but I would assume it's had one at some point

Iv given it a very quick polish, it needs a good detailing session but that can wait for a while

I have done the chome window trim in satin black, which I really like :)

And red mats are back :) I need a new set though

Well done Beau, that's a lot of car for £31800, nice to see that someone like yourself who has a passion for the marque has picked it up.

That's looking great Beau, enjoy it and I think you'll be keeping this one for a while - it'll be hard to top

It's not intergalactic mileage, not a CAT car, and a 4.7 too.
What true value does this make 4.2's then?
Also cheaper than many GS's too.

I found some 4.2's for mid 20's, but decided the extra was worth it to get the S :)

That's kind of depressing. If that's the going rate, mine's dropped a fair bit in the couple of years since I got it. Good job I'm not planning to sell!

I am. But in a couple of years. I want a 4.7 MC

Well to be completely accurate, I want the salary that can support a 4.7 MC :D

But, I have to say, the 4.2 impressed me no end yesterday, and over the past couple of weeks. While it still feels sluggish below 2-3k it did everything I asked of it at the track, as well as there and back without a murmur.

There is clearly a very slight oil leak, as evidence by my drive, but I'll just keep an eye.

Well picked up my new car today! I am loving it!

Needs a few bits doing and will need a clutch soon, but I got it for a good price :)

It shows what a timeless design Maserati came up with, certainly equal to an Aston Martin. I am sure you will enjoy driving it.

On the track yesterday, people could not believe how old my car was. I wonder if it'll ever date. Must do, I suppose

Rude not too.
How did you find her?

Sorry missed that, it was on autotrader private sale if that's what you mean

I have 'detailed' the engine bay today, it's a **** shame I didn't get any before photos! But just imagine an engine bay untouched for many many years and miles ! It was filthy

Spotless...to be honest you are better off with a car thats been untouched than one thats been to the Kosavan Car wash each week.
