Despite having a new boot lock mechanism fitted I have still been experiencing problems. The boot has been difficult to shut with the electronic lock motor turning repeatedly. Furthermore both the boot release button inside the car and the button on the remote control failed to work. Investigation revealed broken wiring between the boot lid itself and where the loom enters the rear of the car. The protective conduit sleeve had to be pushed back to expose the thin cables. Thanks to Emblem Sports Cars for the efficient repair. It is now all working correctly.
