Hi all,

Woke up to find the QP had a flat battery (think interior light was left on) anyhow after jump starting the car my dashboard lit up
like a xmas tree - Air bags warning, TPMS, few others I cant remember and the dome lights not working go straight to dealer etc.

Is there a reset procedure or will it need an OBD to clear

Car drives fine just the dash is distracting.

It's pretty much the same Mark, it'll be fine with just switching the ignition on and off usually, battery reset if that doesn't do the job.

Do I remember rightly that jump-starts are a bad idea and that batteries should be charged instead?

edit: just looked in the manual (albeit for a 2009 GTS). It says (in red) that under no circumstances "should a battery be used for an emergency start-up: you could damage the electronic systems particularly the control units that manage the ignition and fuel supply functions."

It says instead to "recharge the battery slowly and at a low amperage for about 24 hours."

So the reset procedure is it unplug the negative lead and leave for 10 mins and plug it back in and is there a quick release on the pole

Make sure you have the door open and the glass has dropped!
There is a procedure to follow so that all the systems link back up, but I can't remember what it is!
A full charge and then restarting will clear it all anyway.
